In 2010 a fully fit Visevic began the season in sensational form, scoring a goal in the first five game as Richmond kept pace with early league pacesetters. Antun Kovacic returned from spells in the A-League with Newcastle United and Korea, and striker Jesse Krncevic also returned to the club after time in Germany and Holland.
The mid-season acqusitions of Michael Ferrante from Wellington Phoenix, Steven Topalovic from Gold Coast United and the emergence of Davey van ‘t Schip into senior ranks saw the club in the race for Finals football once again. A 4-2 win over Altona Magic in the penultimate round set up a the opportunity to finish the season on top of the ladder, and the minor premiership was duly clinched in a 1-1 draw away at Bentleigh Greens. After a loss to Green Gully in the Major Semi-Final, a Grand Final berth was won with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Knights Stadium over Hume City in the Preliminary Final. In the Grand Final at AAMI Park, the side once again was beaten by Green Gully, 0-3 in a disappointing performace.
The FFV Gold Medal Night saw Michael Chatzitrofonos rewarded for his efforts by being named VPL Coach of the Year.
